Alex Senson

Head instructor

Alex is and has always been focused on healthy lifestyle choices, fitness and mental well being. He is a biochemist with an advanced degree in biotechnology. He’s naturally insatiably curious and a lifelong learner.

Alex has trained in multiple martial arts over the last two decades, with a focus on traditional goju ryu karate. He holds a nidan (2nd degree black belt).

He believes the lessons we can learn from ancient martial arts are critical in today’s world, not for fighting, but for understanding our own human nature and improving ourselves and our society non-violently.

Interested in becoming a SparX trainer?

SparX requires a high level of skill and deep understanding of the fundamental concepts of the system to teach effectively. All instructors will be required to have a minimum of 4-5 years of martial arts experience, with the rank of shodan (black belt) or higher in good standing. They will need to go through a training and certification program before teaching SparX on their own.
